“Como una de Bola de Nieve” es la muestra colectiva en curso que se inaugura en La Casa Invisible el próximo sábado, 19 de Marzo, coincidiendo con el 15 aniversario de esta institución experimental, centro social y cultural autogestionado en el corazón de la ciudad de Málaga.
Como una de Bola de Nieve que va recorriendo una colina, creciendo y acumulando fuerzas, al mismo tiempo que se va transformando al contacto con el lugar y va dejando huella; es la imagen de una muestra in crescendo, en la que diversxs artistas contemporáneas se irán uniendo durante su transcurso. En su primer trayecto la muestra se inaugura con trabajos de Lara Almarcegui, Dora Garcia, Núria Güell, Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson y PSJM, a la que otras obras de otrxs artistas se irán incorporando y también intercambiando, transformando así la exposición en común y en diálogo con el contexto en el que se compone. La propuesta tiene como contenido trabajos de artistas y colectivos que comparten una mirada crítica, con prácticas post-conceptuales, experimentales y extradisciplinares, comprometidas socialmente y con el medio ambiente, del ámbito local e internacional. Se presentarán trabajos y colaboraciones realizadas en distintos contextos sociales, urbanos y geográficos que aportarán distintas lecturas y reflexiones afines, entre otras cosas, a la fundación de los comunes, sobre la justicia social y medio ambiental, los procesos de gentrificación, el feminismo, la inmigración, lo divergente, procesos decoloniales, el arte y el activismo. Como la bola de nieve en movimiento, la muestra también saldrá del espacio de la Invisible para recorrer otros lugares, calles, patios y plazas, al mismo tiempo que crecerá y/o menguará dejando huella, moldeándose en el entorno por el que discurre y del que formará parte. Este Proyecto es a la vez una propuesta para la ciudad, que en el curso de la exposición y en diálogo con el grupo de Cultura Libre de La Invisible, propiciará la movilización de distintas redes, posibilitando gestos, intervenciones, performances o acciones y transformaciones en el espacio público u otros contextos y lugares que entren en diálogo con el proceso iniciado en La Invisible.
La muestra celebra el 15 aniversario de La Casa Invisible presentándose en sintonía con otros eventos y con el congreso internacional Multiplicity, haciendo coincidir éstos potentes actos de apoyo a La Invisible desde el ámbito del arte contemporáneo institucional e independiente.
Como una Bola de Nieve ha sido iniciada y comisariada por Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson y Carlos Sanjuan con La Casa Invisible, en las próximas fases de la exposición se actualizarán públicamente los nombres de lxs artistas que se van a ir uniendo a ella y los próximos actos.
La Invisible, tras 15 años de vida, se ha convertido en una alternativa y en una manifestación real y concreta de otros modos de hacer, interrogando los modos dominantes de construir el imaginario colectivo y nuestra subjetividad, propiciando nuevos aprendizajes y experiencias en la gestión de un bien común, a través de la cooperación y la producción colaborativa.
En estos momentos La Casa Invisible está de nuevo amenazada con ser desalojada en las próximas semanas, por lo que está resistiendo y buscando apoyos para parar el quinto intento de desalojo por parte del ayuntamiento, a pesar de que este se había comprometido previamente y en público a ceder en uso el espacio, y está dispuesto a expulsarlos por la fuerza, aludiendo falsos motivos técnicos y de seguridad.
Esta muestra se hace con La Invisible en apoyo y solidaridad con el trabajo de las asociaciones, las y los creadores y compañerxs que la habitan y las que en estos años han sido invitadas a compartir experiencias, conocimiento y trabajos. En definitiva, en apoyo de un espacio importante y necesario en la vida sociocultural de la ciudad, y una apuesta por la continuidad de ésta institución experimental, cuya existencia es una demostración de la capacidad de la ciudadanía para gestionar un espacio público no estatal.

“Como una de Bola de Nieve” is the collective contemporary art exhibition in progress that opens at La Casa Invisible next Saturday, March 19th, coinciding with the 15th anniversary of this experimental institution, a self-managed social and cultural center in the heart of the city of Malaga. Like a Snowball that goes down a hill, growing and accumulating strength, at the same time that it transforms upon the contact with the place and leaves its mark; It is the image of an exhibition in crescendo, in which the works of different artists will come together during its course. On its first trajectory, the exhibition opens with works by Lara Almarcegui, Dora Garcia, Núria Güell, Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson and PSJM, to which other works by other artists will be incorporated and also exchanged in the course of the show, transforming the exhibition in dialogue with the given context. The proposal presents works by artists and collectives working locally and internationally that share a critical view, with post-conceptual, experimental and extradisciplinary practices, which are socially and environmentally engaged. Works and collaborations carried out in different social, urban and geographical contexts will be presented, that will contribute to a variety of readings and reflections related, among other things, to the foundation of the commons, on social and environmental justice, gentrification processes, feminism, immigration, divergent practices, decolonial processes, art and activism. Like a Snowball in motion, the exhibition will also leave the space of La Invisible to visit other places, streets, courtyards and squares, at the same time that it will grow and/or shrink, leaving its mark, molding itself in the environment through which it runs and the which will be part. This Project is at the same time a proposal for the city, which in the course of the exhibition and in dialogue with the Free Culture group of La Invisible, will promote the mobilization of different networks, making possible gestures, interventions, performances or actions and transformations in the public space or other contexts and places that will enter into dialogue with the process initiated in La Invisible.
The exhibition celebrates the 15th anniversary of La Casa Invisible in tune with other events and with “Multiplicity” the international congress in progress, making these powerful acts of support for La Invisible coincide from the field of the institutional and independent contemporary art scenes.
Like a Snow Ball has been initiated and curated by Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson and Carlos Sanjuan with La Casa Invisible, in the next phases of the exhibition new artists and events will be publicly updated.
La Casa Invisible, after 15 years of life, has become an alternative and a real and concrete manifestation of other ways of doing things, questioning the dominant ways of building the collective imagination and our subjectivity, promoting new learning and experiences in the management of a common good, through cooperation and collaborative production.
At this time, La Casa Invisible is again threatened with being evicted in the coming weeks, which is why it is resisting and seeking support to stop the fifth eviction attempt by the city council, despite the fact that it had previously and publicly committed to hand them over the use of the space, and is willing to expel them by force, alluding to false technical and security reasons.
This exhibition is made with La Invisible, in support and in solidarity with the work of the associations, the creators and compañerxs that inhabit it and those that in these years have been invited to share experiences, knowledge and work. In short, in support of an important and necessary space in the socio-cultural life of the city, and a commitment to the continuity of this experimental institution, whose existence is a demonstration of the capacity of citizens to manage an independent public space.
